The main purpose of the Military LIFE for Nature project is the restoration and conservation of rare species of plants and animals that need continuous soil disruption for their survival.
Over the next five years, the project will provide management of wildlife in former military areas which are comparable in importance to the most valuable Czech protected areas. To maintain their biodiversity, these sites require a dynamic landscape mosaic, which in the past was provided by active military training. In the current conditions after the army's departure, it is now necessary to replace it with other approaches.
